Here's the ski story that I've been anxious to tell. Last Friday, Bob arrived here in Prague. His plane was delayed, so instead of getting here at 11am, he got here at about 5pm. Luckily, the airport in Amsterdam was able to call me (during my class) to tell me that the plane was delayed. So Bob arrived Friday evening, we had a good dinner at a traditional Czech pub, and the next morning began our train journey to Radstadt, Austria. The trip took 8.5hrs, which wasn't too bad. We arrived at about 4pm and were picked up by our hosts, Ben & Andrea, a British couple who moved to Austria to run a bed and breakfast. They have two children who are ages 2 and 5, so the place has a very family atmosphere. Here are some pictures of the B&B.

The first day, Ben took us to the Ski Shop to rent our gear, then Bob & I walked into town and ate at an Austrian restaurant. They spoke no English, so we just guessed at the menu, but the food was very good and we had a great time. We came back, went to bed early, as it had been a long day and we knew the next day would be busy and we would need to wake up around 7 for a 7.30 breakfast and catch an 8.40 bus to the slopes. I'll have to leave you here as we're about to go have our final dinner before Bob goes home tomorrow morning. Part 2 will be coming soon!
